MIRRORS WITH DRAWERS
These have been upcycled from brown wood into cheerful little wall mirrors for places where you need to see yourself. With a mini drawer to hide lipstick, keys, or other lost items. The emerald one has a gold base coat with a distressed finish and an antiqued mirror. The carnival mirror is pristine clear, more in keeping with the clean lines of the design.
After sanding back the brown frame and priming, the base coat for the carnival mirror is in Asin Lime. The painted layers of cardinal red, persian rose and french ochre are worked up using masking tape to get the clean lines. I wanted the design to be quite random and so made it up as I went along.
