This project was a challenge, with its leather writing pad and rusty old hinges, it took some work to prep, before painting. The client initially wanted the floral design to be in jewel colours but along the way settled for the soft grey colourways.  The damson base colour is Annie Sloan’s ‘Rodmell’ with a protecting, oil based, matt varnish on top. The new matt silver ironmongery completed the facelift and works beautifully with the design.
