Try adding a bit of romance to doors or shutters or walls or screens. This design was inspired by the antique gesso mirror. The colours are a palette taken from the walls, mirror and other fabrics in the room.
These plain white doors and facings were built up using paint layers of blues, greens and taupe. A hint of a bronze highlight on the leaves and stalks gave them a lovely decorative finish and brought them to life.
